I was thinking the same last night when I pooped on to say hello.
I was like...."I just popped in to say Hi. I'm not playing..."
Then, into an HQ game.
I've had about 15 minutes of COD4 in the last 10 days, and 7 minutes of BO... and I felt like Corky Thatcher with a Commando in my hands.
When I got off for my break, connections were feeling like an all time low. And I mean, we could have a regular N American crew and it felt like I was running solo with Eggz, Kris, Skepta and Orrophin....in an Tasmanian lobby or some sht.
NO one has expectations over someone. If I come in ahead of Shadow , Syn or Alpha(which is rare, but it happens), they're either messing around with a fcked up class, or getting owned by the connection.
...and I hate to say it bro...but we are getting older.
I watch shadow, zcs and vette's games, and although I'd love to think I have some games like they do....they see stuff I don't (36 and still no glasses--but sight is obviously fading), and I see stuff that 'isn't anything'--and shoot at it.
My reactions are definately slower than those of a 15-19 year old. No argument.
Long spells away from the game make you rusty...and connections make all skill and thoughfulness irrelevent. So, show up. Have fun. Come for the people, stay for the lulz.
That's going to have to be my new slogan when I get back on.
