So the weather is pretty much shit. Been dumping snow for about 8 hours now. I'm over at my brother in law's house (Which is Godz for those of you in the know).. and it's time for me to leave. My car is parked off in the road in front of his house. He lives on a sidestreet, so it isnt too busy.. people dont speed down it or anything.
Anyways, its still pouring snow.. so I go out there and turn my car on. Warm it up and wipe the snow off the windows, and the lights. While doing this, I accidentally pull the driver's wiper blade off. Dangit. Its dark. Its cold. Its snowing. Im wearing gloves, and am just smashing this blade onto the part where it hooks on to the wiper of my car.

Looks similar to that for those who dont know. Well the little piece INSIDE of the blade itself decides it wants to come out. SO now im standing there and im getting aggravated. Im wearing gloves and its cold, I need my wipers to see.. but I just want this damn thing on.
Little bit more forcing things here and there and it somehow goes on. I jiggle it a bit, it seems solid. I run my wipers a minute.. seems ok. I needed to stop and get gas on the way home so I stop in at a gas station close to Godz (brother in law) house. Wiper seems okay still. Think nothing of it.
Get on the freeway. Notice the wiper is starting to turn a bit and sort of come off path. At this point im praying to GOD that the thing hangs on long enough for me to get home. - Short backstory - I only replaced my driver's side blade last. Who needs to see out the passenger side window? So my passenger blade pretty much just smears. The rubber part that wisks the water and snow and whatnot, is non existant on it. - Back to the Story - Within 5 seconds of praying to god.. and 6 seconds of getting on the highway.. my blade snaps off and goes flying over the top of my car.
SHIT! Its snowing. Its dark. There is a mixture of snow and ice coming down from the skies. There is a mixture of salt dirt and slush kicking up from the car in front of me. My Driver's wiper blade just popped off and went flying off my car (hopefully no other car got messed up from it. I glanced back.. and didnt notice any car's behaving strangely). My Passenger blade is making the window in the middle and passenger side just a complete SMEAR JOB. 1 thing to be thankful for.. its a freeway, so there are no headlights coming at me (yet). So my wiper on my driver's side is moving.. but its just scratching my windshield because there is no blade on it.
So I drive barely being able to see the tail lights in front of me and the edge marker of the lane im in. Gotta drive on the highway for about 12 minutes going slow as shit (think about 60) because I was not about to go fast with these conditions. As I get closer to my house, Im off the freeway and the roads are still pretty fast. Speed limits are about 55 but there are traffic lights. So I get up behind a guy at a traffic light (its red). Turns green and his tires just smother my windshield in water salt and dirt. This point I can barely make out tail lights. To sort of end this long story.. the guy was turning down my road so I just followed that vehicle all the way home.
Was horrible. Need to go buy new wipers tomorrow.
Sorry... but no TL;DR version.

I recently just changed mine out. Its annoying once they dry out and leave streaks.
