A: No, the HD60 lacks the AV plug required to interface with the PS3. You will need to purchase the original Elgato, which records at 30fps, to record PS3 footage. (The Playstation 3 uses HDMI encryption, which blocks recordings via HDMI).

Honestly.. Id just get the Original El Gato. It will work with both PS3 and PS4 and quality comparison sake - wont be that noticeable.

So the only thing the old one Does NOT do is capture 1080p at 60FPS. However if you look further down you can see it still does 1080p at 30FPS.
If you were only going to be capturing PS4 id say go with the new. However if you are going to use it mostly on PS3 then get the old.. and upgrade to the new down the line.
