State just passed, what they're calling the "anti-Bloomberg" bill (after the Mayor of NYC). It forbids cities from requiring restaurants to post calories of their foods and limiting of portion sizes
I understand the portion size argument, because who the f**k is anyone to prevent that? What I have a problem with, is the calorie count portion. I'm of the opinion that a restaurant should be able to serve whatever they want. If they want to serve a f**king pizza topped with 2 lbs of hamburger, a pound of cheese, and a fried chicken chaser, GO FOR IT!!! With that being said, I think it's in the best interest of public health to make nutritional information easily found, so people can choose for themselves.
what do you think?
