Believed he was naturally gifted. But no natural talent can compete with enhanced athletes who are start from close to where you are naturally, and then amp sht up with drugs.
The entire sport is one contaminated with drug users. The winner is usually the one with the best pharmacist (with best cocktail), and the best doctor (who finds the best urine samples).
IMO, still an amazing athlete. He almost gets a pass in my book because he's competing against a field of equally doped up riders. Jay Cutler, Ronnie Coleman...the entire group of pro bodybuilders are in the same ranks. Training needs to be there, but the drugs are what separate you.
It's like being an implant hater in the Playboy mansion.
