its just a test. obviously it needs some work, im trying to figure out how to slow down the breaking animation without actually stretching the end footage.

ive been working with 3ds max for like a year now. but if you get rid of all the time in between projects, probably a couple months to get to where i am now. just watching tutorial after tutorial and then figuring out how to apply those techniques to the project at hand, that takes the most time.
for example, i had to look up how to make objects break like that, discovered that you cant break an imported object like the ones in the map that i imported. so you have to model the object from scratch and make it the same dimensions as the original. then you apply a fracture script that breaks the object into however many pieces you want. then i had to figure out how to apply gravity to the scene so the objects would fall. but they just fell in their place instead of flying out, so i had to create a sphere that smashes into the wall from behind, and i had to make that sphere invisible.
all that came from like 6 different tutorials.

Watching endless vids most useless info... months
Hours detailing and fine tuning a product ... days
uploading final product and posting with excitement ... minutes
Click link, watch 7 seconds and click back without comment... assholes.
