I can't turn the screen brightness or contrast down. You can use the FN key with the Sun symbol with up/down arrows but the actual wording and backlight is too bright. Can't read big paragraphs because they blur together. Its like there is a haze on the screen all the time.
Where in the hell are settings to turn the overall screen light down? The brightness makes its darker but the shitty writing gets darker too. I need the text about 3 times darker. How do you change that?
Its so bright, half of the forum is missing separators. Can't find where to type because the text box is the same color as the back drop. There are no boxes.

In simple terms.. everything that should be black is semi dark gray.

Have you tried changing the resolution?

Then when you unplug it, the dark colors get brighter.
Then when you walk outside, you can't read anything unless you hold it blocking the sun.
I checked google and its a common issue. Answers are ranging from changing drivers to changing BIOS info. Thats fking stupid, its brand new. All 4 of em we set up at work looked exactly the same.
Seems to be better now since I dropped the gama range from half way point to damn near black.

The price was a no brainer. Buy 1 new Dell or 4 ThinkPads.

Lenovo put out a big update that reconfigured the BIOS, as soon as the PC rebooted the screen was legible and not glazed over with white overlay. Had to be an issue with every model they put out.
Pics and videos look much better. They were either too bright or too dark and couldn't see close color changes.
