Overview: Flak Jacket reduces all incoming explosive damage to 35% of its original value (9% in hardcore game modes). In addition, non-direct impact explosives will never deal more than 75 damage (22.5 in hardcore game modes); this means that a player at full health will not be killed by many explosives. Its pro version reduces all fire damage to 5% of its original damage, making the Flamethrower and Napalm Strike nearly worthless against the player. As an added effect, any thrown grenade picked up by the player will have its fuse set to 2.5 seconds, allowing safe grenade returns.
- Protected – Survive 10 explosions while using Flak Jacket.
- Demolished – Plant or defuse 10 bombs in Demolition, Sabotage, or Search & Destroy.
- Throwbacks – Throw back 5 enemy Frag grenades.
My thoughts: This is such an amazing perk to be using. I've minimized my deaths in games like Domination and Demolition with this perk on. Allowing me to survive grenades and even tubing. Love it!
So far, in my current 11th prestige, I've had it set up for these game modes only. Now that I have survived 10 explosions and planted/defused 10 bombs, im finding it difficult to seek frag grenades to just toss back to get pro, lol.
But in any case, I will eventually use this perk much more in game modes like HQ, DOM and DEMO. MP5K has been getting used a lot, which it now reins over the nerfed AK74u, which I will never use again.
Anyone else try/use this perk yet?
